The Demise of The Lich KingEdit
Arthas lies on the cold floor of his Throne, slowly coming his demise. The spirit of his father appears and Arthas asks, "Father... is it... over?" Terenes nods and sets a hand on his son's, telling him, "No king rules forever, my son..." As Arthas' eyes roll back into his head and he drops his head onto the frozen floor, Tirion Fordring slowly strides in and quietly watches the scene. Terenes clsoes his son's eyes and tells Tirion that without any control, the Scourge will cause much more chaos. Before vanishing in a burst of white light, Terenes says to Tirion, "There must always be... a Lich King." Tirion picks up the Lich King's helmet, saying he should be the one to bear the burden; but suddenly, Tirion hears a voice call out his name. Tirion looks to the Frozen Throne, recognizing the person. "By all that is holy... Bolvar?" Bolvar Fordragon sits upon the Frozen Throne, his flesh charred and ever-burning flames coarse through his body. He tells Tirion that he would bear the burden of being the new Lich King. Tirion sighs, and looks to him, "You shall not be forgotten..." "I -must- be forgotten!" Bolvar exclaims. He tells Tirion to place the helmet on his head, and Tirion complies. Upon the helmet touching Bolvar's burned flesh, a burst of light shines, turning the helmet from silver to a dark copper. Tiriorn climbs down from the Throne, looking back up to Bolvar. With the essence of Ner' Zul consuming him, Bolvar exclaims, "Now, leave this place... and never return!" However, this is not what truly happened on the day of the Lich King's demise... The Bronze Dragonflight had altered time in the minds of all present at the time, to prevent them from discovering the terrible truth...
